Chapter Seven: The Social Web

No book about the web would be complete without some consideration of the social elements that occupy so much of the online space today.

In this chapter, various aspects of the modern social web are considered and placed into a heritage context. The chapter considers a measured, sensible and relevant approach to social media strategy and the various channels that you can use to reach out to new and exciting audiences.

Towards the end of the chapter, scenarios are considered where issues like authority and brand are potentially threatened by these approaches, and ways of mitigating these risks are considered.
